John Galliano Parlez-Moi d’Amour is launched in mid October 2010. The eagerly awaited second perfume is romantically named after Edith Piaf’s song Parlez-Moi d'Amour or “Speak to me about love”.
Parlez-Moi d'Amour is build on Galliano’s principles of emphasized extravagance and femininity, with the ambition to create a modern musky scent that will represent a remarkable contrast to the classical chypre perfume structures and norms. The traditional component of chypre perfumes, the oak moss, has been replaced by the cypress absolute, concentrated in ambery dry-down notes. Its sharp woody accents blended with musk offer contemporary and very modern base notes.
This composition full of contrasts opens with fresh overdose of bright ginger, blueberries and bergamot. The perfume heart represents a true ode to love, made from the most seductive floral pair - Sambac jasmine and Turkish rose, while the mysterious and woody base features cypress, Indonesian patchouli and musk notes. The perfumer Alienor Messenet from IFF managed to deliver a glamorous and rebellious youthful fragrance that tells a story of love. Parlez-Moi d'Amour is a fruity, sweet, spicy, romantic and edgy at the same time.
The face of the campaign and the new Galliano muse is Taylor Momsen, the star of the famous teen drama Gossip Girl and the singer of the rock band The Pretty Reckless. This young "rebel" inspired the designer, who considers himself to be a romantic and a narrator, to create a new story along with the fragrance. The story tells of a young rock star who, after many gigs and concerts, finds herself lost in Berlin. Internet and other conveniences of modern age are not available, and she is forced to express her feelings on a piece of paper, writing a letter to a guy she just fell in love with.
This is one of my favourite. I got it as a birthday gift from my mum and I absolutely love it! It smells like peach to me but it's kind of weird that there's nothing similar to peach... All the notes mixed make that smell I guess.
It's very sweet and reminds me of the life in England. (I have no idea why!!) Also even if it's 'eau de toilette', the scent lasts quite long.
The bottle is pretty cute - resemble a 'lettre d'amour' though I don't keep perfume bottles.

lat. Zingiber officinale
Group: Spices
Odor profile: A very common note in fragrance, most often in the context of a "gingerbread accord" (first recognizably used in Bois des Iles by Chanel and famously in Tea for Two by L'Artisan Parfumeur and Brit Red). It's spicy, sharp, bracing yet light, and pairs well with citrus notes, vanilla and woods.
Along with cardamom and turmeric, ginger is a tropical plant from the Ginger family (Zingiberaceae). The plant came from South-Eastern Asia, China and Western India. People fell in love with ginger hundreds of years ago and now it is cultivated in Africa, South America, Malaysia and Caribbean countries, Nepal, Japan, etc.
Bergamot

lat. Citrus aurantium subsp. bergamia
Other names: Bergamot Orange
Group: Citrus
Odor profile: citrusy, bitter and sour, elegant light note, complex with nuances of fruit and aromatic elements, reminiscent of eau de Cologne, flavors Earl Grey tea.
Bergamot orange (Citrus aurantium var. bergamia) is a small, roughly per-shaped citrus fruit, which grows on small trees known as bergamots. It is a cross between pear lemon and Seville orange or grapefruit.
This fruit is not edible and is cultivated for production of its essential oil. The essential oil of bergamot is expressed from the ripe fruit peel and is used extensively in perfumery for its sweet freshness. Bergamot oil is also used for flavouring purposes, e.g. Earl Grey tea and the so called althea drops, candy-making, in aroma therapy to treat depression, and also as digestive aid. Its scent is fruity-sweet with mild spicy note. Bergamot oil is used in production of both female and male perfumes, and in most fragrance groups, mainly in top notes. It was a component of the original Eau de Cologne developed in Germany in the 17th century, and today is used in different proportions in almost all modern perfumes. Perfumes of the so-called Chypre and Fougère types are not possible without bergamot oil.

Odor profile: berries with a jam-like sweetness and tartness, intensely colored rich in anthocyanidins
The blueberry is a flowering perennial shrub native to North American and cultivated in Europe starting in the 1930s. The shrub's bell-shaped, white-to-red flowers give way to the small sweet berries that turn a deep shade of blue when ripe. The fruit is valued for its sweet flavor and high nutritional value. Rich in vitamins and minerals, loaded with fiber, but lower in sugar than many other fruits, the blueberry is widely consumed as whole fruit as well as used in jams, juices, cereals, snack foods and wine.
